Environmental, Health and Safety Statement
ARC has lead the way in the reprographics industry in establishing environmentally sound production methods, as well as health and safety practices that provide its employees a work environment free of hazards. From its inception, the company established aggressive goals to convert older, less efficient production methods to more contemporary and efficient equipment. The use of such equipment reduces the impact of operations both in the workplace and on the environment. ARC also conducts regular audits and inspections from Certified Environmental Assessors, and maintains employee programs to support health and safety issues within our plants and offices.
Each of the company's 173 locations now operates digital production equipment and uses supplies and substrates that are, in most cases, recyclable or reusable. ARC is aggressive in its waste reduction efforts, and the company strives to maintain pollution-free and energy efficient facilities. We are also supported in our environmental, health and safety efforts by the proactive measures of our primary vendors. The majority of the equipment we purchase or lease is designed to reduce pollution and hazards in the workplace, while retaining their ability to be remanufactured or recycled at the end of their useful life. The management of ARC and its divisions understand that health, safety and environmental issues are never completely resolved, but rather that they require vigilance and continuing effort to ensure the well-being of our employees, our communities and the environment as a whole.
