B-More Dogs: Providing canine care in low income neighborhoods
B-More Dogs: Providing canine care in low income neighborhoods
Scott Eggleston, FM Operator, Baltimore | Volunteer since 2006
Purpose: To promote responsible dog ownership in Baltimore through education and outreach programs, and ultimately restore the image of pit bull dogs as beloved family pets.
B-MORE DOGS envisions Baltimore as a city where all dogs are treated as family, where there is access to veterinary care for all pet owners, and where dogs are judged by their actions. We try to ensure children grow up with the knowledge & resources to be responsible pet owners and kind to animals.
About: B-MORE DOGS provides neighborhood Dog Wellness Clinics staffed by certified veterinarians. Each dog (usually more than 100!) gets a vet check-up, rabies vaccines, puppy shots, the option to sign-up for free spay/neuter surgery, flea/tick prevention, de-wormer, nail trims, leash & collar check-up/exchange, an enrichment toy, and dog food and other pet supplies. Our goal is to keep dogs happier and healthier in their homes.
