Bear Lake Ultra: Lions Bear Lake Camp Fundraiser
Rob Lykins, DSC, Michigan6+ Years – Race Director
Lions Club Bear Lake Camp is a program for Blind & Visually Impaired youth that’s been in operations for 30+ years. The Mission of the camp is to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and to provide a premier outdoor educational and recreational experiences year-round to all persons, regardless of ability.
Campers come for free, supported by donations, grants, and events like The Bear Lake Ultra Race.
Rob created the 24-hour Bear Lake Ultra in 2018 with only 35 runners; it now hosts over 100 runners each year, and covered 17,000+ miles in its history! Rob fundraises, solicits sponsors, advertises the race and manages the budget.
The race also gives local runners a safe and fun trail to use.
