Ellora Mukherjee, Project Mgr. – India-Kolkata-Tech Center; Volunteer for 17 years
Founded in 1999: Dr. Aniruddha Chakraborty initiated this project 25 years ago with the aim of combating child labor and persuading parents to prioritize their children’s education.
- Economic hardships prevented these families from affording school fees and educational materials. Rallying support, a group of Dr. Chakraborty’s friends and students joined in to assist.
- After their regular work hours, they devoted their time to teaching these students, as local schools fell short and parents lacked literacy.
- Through the support of donations, Pratyush has established a dedicated facility where students not only complete their homework but also experience growth in a creative and harmonious environment fostered by music, dance, and recitation.
